Who you're hiring

Matthew Easterday. Before going independent I ran HR, payroll, benefits, and systems integration for nearly 400 employees across two locations, and earlier administered 300-plus servers and 2,200 workstations for an insurance company. The builds on this page are ones I ran myself, on the same tools most small businesses already pay for.

How I work

I got into automation through live production, where everything runs on cues, macros, and triggers. Business processes can work the same way. I build on the tools a business already has and connect them so information moves between them without anyone retyping it.

If you can write the steps down, most of them can be wired together.

Questions I get

What can actually be automated?

Anything that repeats and follows rules: publishing, approvals, data moving from one system to another, reports, reminders.

Do I need to buy new software?

Usually not. Most builds connect what you already pay for. If a new tool genuinely is the right answer, I'll say so in the quote and explain why.

What happens when something changes or breaks?

Everything is documented and handed off, so your team can make routine changes. Larger changes and ongoing support are quoted separately.

Is this remote?

Yes. Automation work is done remotely, with calls and screen shares as needed.

What does it cost?

Quoted per build after the call. One flat number for the build and handoff, and a separate rate for support and changes if you want them.
